Another great day for Crew 5 today.  
We got to spend more time getting to know one of the women 
whose house we are working on.  We look forward to her joining the 
crew for our lunch break tomorrow.

The teens all worked so hard today.  

Every day they learn something new and it is great 
to see them overcoming some of their fears and really putting 
all of their effort into the tasks we need to complete.

Our message for today was radical reversal means fighting 
through our fear of failure. 
Well today we arrived on site and our materials were not ready 
and the second project we were supposed to start was unable 
to be done because other work needed to be completed first. 
So we were asked to tear up the porch decking and rebuild. 
We were all new at this type of project but we were blessed 
that the homeowner, Bruce, was there.

Crew 5 (Mr. Lane, Mrs. Flavin, Eli, Julia, Kayla, Kyle, 
Luke and Lindsey had a great Day 1 at our worksite.
  The family we are assisting consists of two sisters
 who share a house.  They were very happy to see us
 and appreciative if our help. 

All of the work we are doing is on the exterior of the house.  
We are finishing up some vinyl siding and installing soffets.  
Everyone in the group rose to the
 occasion (despite the heat (95 degrees) and really
 hit the ground running...
