Crew 5 Wednesday update

Crew 5 may have had its most productive day yet today.
We put up board, soffit and facia along most of the front
of the house (which has the highest peak.).
All of the teens were involved in measuring, cutting, climbing
ladders and hammering nails. It has been amazing to watch them grow in confidence as they develop new skills.

We had an opportunity to spend more time with our homeowner.
She joined us for lunch and shared with us stories about
her life and about the community. Each day we seem
to make more of a connection with her and she seems more
comfortable with us. She is so thankful for our help.

As I write we are all gathered on the porch at the ASP Center
enjoying some local culture in the form of a local
bluegrass band. The kids seem to be enjoying it even
though it is surely unlike anything they have on their iPods.

I look forward to hearing the stories about their
day at our evening prayer. God bless and we will
check in again tomorrow.

Mary
