Day 1 - Crew 12

Day one for team 12 started in Kentucky.  Our house is called candy castle.  We met the owner " heaven " and her son " bubba " We started by installing terminal bars to the roof and staining the recently installed front and back decks. Bubba seemed to enjoy watching us work, even passing starbursts thru a window to Jared. They also have a little black lab puppy name "Daisha".  ---  Wanda and Marc

Day 1 - Crew 7

Carter Evin, Michael Waxman, Cole O'Brien, Chris Meissner and Kyle Marsh all exhibited strength and resilience today while walking in Jesus sandals in rather excruciating conditions on gumdrop mountain.

Day 1 - Crew 3

Crew 3 had an exciting first day in Kentucky working on  Lisa, Heaven, Mike, and Garfield's home. The day started with a visit to the warehouse  and then a scenic journey to Harlan County, Kentucky. We got to work with Crew 10 which consisted of Mr. Lane, Mrs. Berardi, Grace, Evan, Will, Chloe, and Bridget. Lisa and her family were very welcoming to us and we learned a lot about Heaven, an almost 14 year old who is trying to branch out by joining the cheerleading squad at her middle school. Th...

Day 1 Crew 3

Good Evening Everyone,
Crew 3 (Kate Ferrara, Greg Connly, Nick Lombardi, Kiana Lozzi, Conner O'Reilly, Ian McLaughlin and Kale Rockey have arrived in Jonesville, Virginia! Our long two day drive came to an end today as we pulled into the ASP Center at 5:30 p.m. Mrs. Ferrara and I could not have asked for a better group of teenagers to lead. They are smart, respectful and kind. We all enjoyed listening to Mrs. Ferrara sing to just about anything we played and fried green beans and pickles for l...

Day 1 from Crew 3

 Journey to Jonesville
Crew 3 Kiana Lozzi, Kale Rockey, Nick Lombardi, Ian McLaughlin, and Connor O'Reilly
We departed Holy Cross at around 5 and were on the road to Roanoke until about 6. Everyone mostly slept the entire way. We stayed at a beautiful, welcoming church and went to mass in the morning. Then departed again and for lunch we ate at a nice pizza place. For appetizers our group leaders ordered us fried pickles and fried green beans which enamored controversial and diverse taste...

Day 5 - Crew 2

Friday seemed to come quickly to Crew 2
as we arrived at Dave's for our last day
of work. We got off to a late start because
we were digging around in the ASP warehouse
for some trim for the living room and bathroom.
When we arrived, Crew 6 was already there
and had gotten to work finishing up the ramp.
They stopped what they were doing and we all
participated in the morning prayer.
Dave was wearing his new jeans with the cuffs
rolled up and he had a new shirt on as wel...

What a week we had. The early nervousness
and anxiety quickly turned to excitement once
we arrived at the Jonesville Center.
We shared the center with an adult group
from a Methodist Church in
Alabama that were a pleasure to be with. They were very
spiritual and musical. They prayed, played and
entertained us all week.

We all got our assignments and learned what our jobs would
be and the family make up. We were going to build a handicap
